Slutfas vykort

På Åpen Akademi-dagarna gick drygt hälften av vykorten åt - ca 170 av 300. Nu återstår att distribuera resterande 130 till allmänheten. Jag har funderat en del på hur. Efter helgerna som varit har kopplingen till och känslan för vykortsprojektet svalnat lite så jag har försökt att få upp ångan igen och inte tappa alltför mycket fart, men en del av mig vill bara bli av med dom för att kunna gå vidare med Stoppa Valfriheten-projektet i stort och dra nya lappar.
Jag har bestämt mig för att dra nya lappar på fredag och det innebär att jag måste få iväg resten av vykorten innan dess. Att gå ut bland folk och dela ut dom känns sökt - lite för att jag inte tror att jag skulle tjäna så mycket på direktkontakten, och dels på grund av att det inte känns som att det var syftet med uppgiften. Att svara på eventuella frågor är inte heller så intressant, jag har bloggen som kanal för det, svar och kontakt. Att lägga vykorten i slumpmässigt valda personers brevlådor eller att sätta ut vykorten i butikers befintliga vykortsställ är idéer jag haft, men som bara temporärt har känts smått roande, sen inte särskilt bra..
Så jag har kört på en av de ursprungliga och tillika enklaste distribueringsidéerna, att lägga ut vykorten på caféer och andra ställen i stan för folk att ta och göra vad de vill med. Med information på ett papper om att det bara är att ta kort, signera, frankera och sända in. Det känns som att den här delen av projektet har spelat ut sin roll, gett vad den har att ge och det är dags att gå vidare..

End phase postcards


During the Open Academy days a bit more than half of the postcards were taken by the public - ca 170/300. Now all that is left is to distribute the rest. I have given some thought as to how. In the aftermath of the holidays my connection to and feeling for the postcard project have cooled off a bit so I have tried to get up to speed again with it, but part of me just want to get rid of them so that I can move on with the bigger picture, the project as a whole, and pick new notes from the suggestion-box. I have decided to do so on friday, which means that I have to lose the remainig postcards before that. To go out in public and hand them out feels a bit far fetched - a bit so because I don't think I would benefit all that much from it, and also because it doesn't feel like that was the point with the assignment. I am also not that interested in answering questions should there be any, I have the blog as a channel for that, answers and contact.
To put the postcards in randomly chosen peoples postboxes or to put them in postcard-stands around the giftshops in town are also ideas I've had, but which only temporarily seemed attractive and amusing, and after a while, not so very good..
So I have gone along with one of the original and simplest ideas I had for distribution, to put them out in cafés and other places around town for people to take and do what they will with them. Together with information on a paper that one should feel free to take, sign, stamp and send in. I feel like this part of the project has played its part, I've gotten what is possible out of it and now it is time to move on..
